There is growing evidence of the effectiveness of integrating an understanding of trauma, gender, and sex into all aspects of our work on substance use issues.
About the webinar
The webinar will:
- Provide an overview of trauma, gender, and sex informed approaches to substance use and addiction;
- Provide examples where trauma, gender, and sex informed approaches are being integrated in Canadian substance use programming; and
- Review tools for program and policy development to support the integration of TGS approaches into our work in the substance use field.
The webinar will be based on a new resource ‘New Terrain: Integrating Trauma and Gender Informed Responses into Substance Use Practice and Policy’ developed by the Centre of Excellence for Women’s Health. New Terrain will be available at bccewh.bc.ca on May 22, 2018.
