Drink Less, Live More – New CCSA ad campaign

Drink Less, Live More is the message of CCSA’s new advertising campaign promoting Canada’s Guidance on Alcohol and Health. The Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction (CCSA) is starting the digital campaign in early October to help inform people that when it comes to alcohol, drinking less is better.

The evidence is clear: Any reduction in alcohol consumption has benefits.

Various ads on this theme will be posted across social media, including YouTube pre-roll videos. These bright, playful ads ask people to consider what they could be enjoying more of… if they were to drink less.

We invite you to share the ads across your own platforms to help us spread this message.

We would also like to share with you the Canadian Medical Association Journal (CMAJ)’s recent article, “Less is better” is the best message when talking to patients about alcohol (Sept. 18, 2023). The article endorses Canada’s Guidance on Alcohol and Health, and suggests that “clinicians and patients should take this new guidance seriously.”
