To Drink or Not to Drink

To Drink or Not to Drink

Pregnant Natacha talks about her decision to not drink while pregnant.  She says, ” I don’t think there is enough data to show there is no risk to consuming alcohol during pregnancy”. She would rather be cautious and not take the risk, so she chose to eliminate alcohol during her pregnancy.

  1. This is Bev from the Saskatchewan Prevention Institute. Thanks for featuring and promoting our video. Just a note: You stated Natacha said “there is enough data to show…”. She actually said “I don’t think there’s enough data to show there is no risk to consuming alcohol during pregnancy.” The meaning is quite different. I wonder if you could change your printed introduction to the video so there is no confusion.
    Thanks very much.

    1. Hello Bev,

Thank you for letting us know. That was a typo. You are absolutely right, there is not enough data to show there is no risk in alcohol consumption while pregnant. Thank you for letting us aware of the mistake and it has been corrected!

In all our messages, we let the public know that there is no safe kind or amount of alcohol during pregnancy.
